Training

Of course, this is about Diesel, but I'm totally excited and had to share with everyone now that I have proof. Some of you know that I'm involved with a Rottweiler group here in town. It's called Grand Canyon State Rottweiler Club and we are the only AKC acredited club in Az. Anyway, we have meetings/training days about every month. Most of the people in this club show their dogs in something. Mainly obedience, but some do conformation, but they have starting to get into herding and carting! Well, I'm totally excited about the last two events since that is more up my alley. ;) Anyway, we haven't done the herding stuff yet (that will be in December), but I did start him with the carting. I first hooked him up to a cart when he was 8 months old. It was his first time and he did really well, but I didn't get any pictures. When I told some of you that I was doing that with him, most of you looked at me strange and couldn't picture it. Well, this last meeting/training day that we had, I hooked him up again and got the proof too! :) He did VERY well, considering that he hadn't been hooked up for almost a year! I must say that I'm totally hooked and can't wait to start saving my money to buy one! I can just picture it now, walking Diesel in the evenings with the girls riding in the cart and S holding onto Kapri. Well, anyway, I just wanted to all let you know what I was doing with Diesel besides going to obedience classes and have the pictures to prove it. Can't wait to get pictures of the herding stuff! ;)
